Practical improvements that make AMS services easier to use and easier to hold accountable.

1) Clear timelines

Set clear timelines for club renewals and bookings.

2) Trackable requests

Launch a simple tracking page so you can see where your request is at.

3) Food affordability (where feasible)

Support a platform where restaurants can offer end-of-day leftover food to students for a lower price, where it’s allowed and feasible.

4) Clubs recognition

Help more clubs get recognized—starting within AMS budget, then growing from there.

5) Better onboarding

Make onboarding easier for new club execs with workshops and templates.

6) More bookable spaces

Add more quiet and bookable spaces in the Nest.

7) Realistic sustainability goals

Review what we’re doing now and set sustainability goals that are realistic.

Lokesh Sandhu (he/him) is a 3rd-year UBC Computer Science student and Residence Advisor, supporting students through peer support, conflict mediation, and crisis response. He is VP Finance for the AMS Multi Faith Club, managing budgets, reimbursements, and funding requests, and previously served as VP Events for the University of Alberta Computer Science Club. Experience in student-facing operations and policy education.
